Which AMG GT variants can I import?
Any road-legal variant, from GT and GT S to GT C, GT R and roadster, can be imported as a used car.
Does this vehicle automatically qualify for a 0% import-duty rate?
No, not automatically. A 0% EU import-duty rate may be available for a vehicle covered by Regulation (EU) 2026/1455 that has US origin and is imported directly into the EU. CETA may apply to a vehicle with preferential Canadian origin. Whether the requirements are met is assessed for the individual case. Please contact USCar Trader before purchase; we review the possible duty benefit and provide non-binding support. Import VAT and other costs are assessed separately.
How is import VAT treated when importing a Mercedes-Benz AMG GT?
Import VAT and other taxes or costs are assessed separately under the applicable rules and the circumstances of the individual case. A blanket answer for every vehicle would not be reliable.
How should such a valuable car be shipped?
We recommend an enclosed container for the AMG GT to protect the paint and low bodywork in transit.
Are US GT R and roadster models easier to find?
Often yes, because US sales volume makes these variants more available than on the German used market.
Is the dual-clutch transmission a concern?
It is strong but costly if neglected, so we prioritise the fluid service history and a careful test of low-speed shifts.
Does the mph cluster stay in the car?
Yes, the US cluster remains; the reading is documented and a kilometre display arranged where required.
Do you inspect before I pay?
Yes. We review the VIN and a USCar Trader vehicle profile and optional CARFAX report and can arrange a specialist inspection, with funds held in escrow.
